30-12-2015
The Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP) has released a request for qualification document in respect a new desalination independent water project (IWP) across three sites.
OPWP is seeking a developer to deliver the planned IWPs, which will provide a combined capacity of 240,000m3 per day. Interested parties must deliver their submission by 17 January 2016.
The project shows Oman’s commitment to the IWP pipeline, with the Ghubrah 190,000m3 per day and Qurayyat 200,000m3 per day IWPs having been recently procured, and the Barka 4 and Sohar 3 IWPs currently approaching financial close.
