Taking stock of the position following the first LIBOR cessation date on 1 January 2022, whilst some USD LIBOR rates are continuing and, for where they have ceased, synthetic LIBOR and statutory replacement rates are providing coverage for the most frequently-used LIBOR settings, their availability differs across jurisdictions / currencies and some rates have ceased entirely. We have prepared this short summary note on the possible litigation risks and a diagram to clarify the status of the jigsaw of LIBOR rates as they stand following 1 January 2022.
