- Financial services - Senior Managers and Certification Regime
14-02-2022
Since the UK’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime came into force in 2016, a number of broadly similar individual accountability regimes have been introduced around the globe.
In this webinar we compared and contrasted some of the key aspects of the individual accountability regimes in the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia. We also heard an update on how the UAE is approaching issues of individual accountability.
This webinar also formally launches our recently-published detailed report “Navigating individual accountability: An overview of key jurisdictions in financial services”.
As financial regulators regularly look to best practice in other jurisdictions, this webinar will be of particular interest to financial services firms looking to understand the latest developments internationally.
Topics for discussion by our experts in these jurisdictions include:
-
public and private sanctioning of individuals for misconduct
-
impact of the regimes on businesses behaviours and culture
-
key relevant future developments into 2022 and beyond
A link to the webinar recording and the Individual Accountability Report can be found here. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact any of the individual speakers.
