Business rescue can be an effective tool in giving a financially distressed company protection against creditors while a business turnaround strategy is implemented. An optimal service requires expertise in the financial and legal aspects of business rescue.
We are delighted to announce a specialist joint venture in business rescue in Kwa-Zulu Natal. Our team is made up of legal and financial professionals from Eversheds Sutherland and Growbridge Advisory. Making up the lead team from Growbridge Advisory is Nic Combrinck (SAICA, Chartered Accountant (SA)). Nic is a licensed and experienced business rescue practitioner and finance professional with a demonstrated work history in corporate governance, finance, M&A, and business turnaround. Donovan Avenant (BCOM LLB) is the head of litigation & dispute resolution at the Eversheds Sutherland Durban office and has extensive experience in the legal process of business rescue. Andrew Davidson (BCOM LLB) is the head of corporate & commercial at Eversheds Sutherland Durban and can assist with the corporate governance and commercial requirements.
Our approach is to provide an efficient turnaround which is critical in business rescue. Business turnaround is not just about cost cutting, it is the execution along a well-defined business strategy in managing the shift of a business in distress.
