We have a wealth of experience advising transport authorities on the operation and maintenance of road networks. We work closely with technical and financial advisors to bind cost reduction, efficiencies and safety supremacy into O&M contracts. We also help with the drafting and operation of concession agreements and have notable experience in formal dispute resolution and re-negotiation of payment mechanisms under concessions.

Experienced lawyers for your roads or highways project
Our recent roads/highways project experience includes advising:
- on the procurement of and the provision of contract administration advice in relation to the London Highways Alliance Contract, being a collaborative highways services framework contract covering all transport authorities across greater London
- Highways Agency on the £367m contract for the implementation of a new free-flow charging system at M25 Dartford-Thurrock River Crossing, including DBFO interface including consideration of funding obligations on DBFO Co and policy which required additional debt to be raised
- HA/DfT on the Infrastructure Bill, identifying risks around the impact of the statutory transfer constituting a material breach of the DBFO contracts
- Bangladesh PPP Authority, Department of Roads and Bridges – we drafted the concession agreement and advised on international best practice for the procurement of the Dhakar By-pass project
- a Swiss energy company on its concession agreement with the Government of Sierra Leone for the construction and operation of a hydro-carbon jetty in Kissy, Freetown and negotiating the EPC contract
