Conference on HR Management in Central and Eastern Europe

  • Poland

A conference entitled “HR Management in Central and Eastern Europe: The Case of Poland” will be held on 22 October 2009 at the Bristol Hotel in Warsaw. The conference is organised by the European Club for human resources, an independent non-profit organisation which brings together senior executives from multinational companies to share experiences and develop an international vision of human resources management.

More than ever, investment in human capital is crucial for companies, and is now recognized as a decisive factor for their competitive position. Poland has the largest workforce in Central Europe. It also has one of the youngest populations in the continent, representing potential unparalleled in today’s Europe.

With such an asset, how is Poland coping with the economic downturn? How do companies face the current crisis and prepare for the future? What practical initiatives can they take in this respect?

These are the key questions that will be addressed by business leaders, HR professionals, policy makers and academics from Poland and abroad when they meet at the conference in Warsaw.

Our law firm will be represented at the conference by partner Ewa Łachowska-Brol, who heads up the Labour Law Team.
