Prague office of Eversheds Sutherland welcomes new co-managing partner and legal team

    We are pleased to introduce our new partner Bořivoj Líbal, who together with attorneys Barbora Šafaříková, David Němeček and Marek Poloni will strengthen the team in our Prague office.

    Bořivoj Líbal will take on the role of co-managing partner of Eversheds Sutherland's Prague office and will work together with Bernhard Hager, who has led Eversheds Sutherland's Czech and Slovak practice since last year.

    Bořivoj has over 15 years of experience in the legal profession. He was managing partner of the Czech office of the international law firm PricewaterhouseCoopers and co-managing partner of Noerr, where he worked until now.

    Bořivoj advises mainly foreign clients and his main areas of expertise are mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, corporate governance and contract law.

    On the domestic scene, he focuses mainly on Czech family companies, where he provides comprehensive legal advice. He is a member of the Strategic Council of the Centre for Family Businesses and an arbitrator of the International Court of Arbitration at the Czech-Moravian Commodity Exchange.

    His heart is in Portugal, where he also studied not only law but also Portuguese. He is the chairman of the Czech-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and thus contributes significantly to the development of cooperation between the two countries.

    Barbora Šafaříková is an experienced attorney at law and focuses her practice mainly on employment law. She also has extensive experience in corporate law and M&A, contract law, and competition law.

    Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Barbora worked in the Prague offices of international law firms Clifford Chance and Noerr and at Dentons in Prague and Berlin.

    David Němeček is a lawyer who advises on real estate transactions, lease negotiations, and development. In addition to real estate law, David also has experience in advising on obtaining investment incentives.

    David has worked from student to associate to senior associate at leading international law firms such as Kinstellar and Noerr.

    Marek Poloni is a Czech and Slovak lawyer. He focuses mainly on contract and corporate law with a particular focus on digital services, IP/IT and data protection and has experience in M&A and financial regulation.

    He started as a trainee at PwC Legal and worked as an associate at Noerr for several years.
