Eversheds Sutherland Advises Piraeus Bank in Cross-Border Equity Transaction

Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce this it advised Piraeus Bank S.A., a Greek multinational financial services company, on the cross-border structuring and transition of a portfolio of equity and quasi-equity interests to an outsourced private equity manager.
The Eversheds Sutherland deal team comprised Corporate Partner Ted Cominos, Corporate Counsel Cristina Audran-Proca (France), Corporate Partner Gavin O’Flaherty, Senior Associate Mary Kiely (both Ireland), Tax Partner Tim Kiely (Ireland), and Financial Services Partners Richard Batchelor (UK), Deborah Hutton (Ireland) and Dr. Carola Rathke (Germany).
The transaction highlights Eversheds Sutherland’s ability to deliver on complex cross-border transactions for clients capitalizing on the firm’s multi-jurisdictional "upstream" corporate, commercial, tax and regulatory strengths together with its extensive "downstream" cross-border M&A transactional experience.
