    Preparing for the changes before they happen

    Whistleblowing has never been a regular feature of Irish business life. However, this will soon change with the proposed introduction of legislation that will protect all whistleblowing employees in all sectors of the economy and create new obligations for employers.

    You need to prepare now to understand what these changes mean for your organisation, how to create a culture that encourages open communication, and how to manage malicious criticism.

    Joanne Hyde, partner and Head of Employment Law has provided practical guidance on what will be in the proposed legislation and what you need to do to prepare, including putting in place protocols to prevent and manage any abuse of the new rules. Similar laws have been in place in the UK since 1998 and Gareth Wadley from our London office presented on the impact they have had and what lessons can be learned.
