Chambers & Partners 2018: Eversheds Sutherland again recommended as leading firm for corporate, M&A and employment

    In its 2018 edition, the international independent law firm directory Chambers & Partners has once more recommended Eversheds Sutherland as leading firm in Switzerland for corporate, M&A and employment law matters. In addition, our Partners Marc Nufer and Monika McQuillen have been recognized as leading experts in their respective practice areas.

     

    Corporate / M&A

    The Swiss Corporate / M&A team offers the benefit of in-depth experience in complex and strategic transactions. It handles domestic as well as cross-border M&A transactions and reorganizations for both Swiss and international companies. Chambers & Partners noted the solid international network and the sector knowledge, in particular in the banking, healthcare and transport sectors. One interviewee stated: "I am impressed with their corporate practice and its smooth collaboration across jurisdictions, project management capabilities and general efficiency." Another client highlights "the firm's geographic footprint" as a strength (Chambers, M&A, 2018).

    In addition, Marc Nufer who heads the Swiss Corporate / M&A practice was highlighted as notable practitioner.     Employment

    Monika McQuillen is the head of the Swiss employment practice group of Eversheds Sutherland.

    Chambers & Partners highlights her role as advisor to International Air Transport Association (IATA) on employment matters concerning the relocation of the organisation's Financial Distribution Services operation from Geneva to Madrid, including advising on the collective dismissal procedure and the negotiation of a social plan. One source describes her as "very clear and very efficient", while another interviewee praises her "business mindset".
