Eversheds Sutherland reappointed to Welsh Water legal panel

Eversheds Sutherland has been reappointed to Dwr Cymru Cyfyngedig’s (DCC), or Welsh Water’s, legal panel.

Welsh Water is a ‘not-for-profit company’ which has been owned by Glas Cymru since 2001. The fourth largest company in Wales, it supplies 1.4m homes and businesses.

Eversheds Sutherland has been awarded six contracts in employment and pensions, corporate and commercial, data protection, construction, competition, and health and safety.

The global legal practice is one of ten firms to have secured a place on the slimmed-down legal panel.

The contracts are initially for five years, with the opportunity to extend for a further two years.

The Eversheds Sutherland team was led by employment Partner Anthony Rees and construction Partner, Alison Short.

    Anthony Rees, said:

“We’re thrilled to have secured a reappointment to DCC’s legal panel. We have enjoyed building a longstanding, trusted relationship with DCC over a number of years, and the additional contracts that we’ve been awarded in data protection, health and safety and corporate are testament to that. We look forward to continuing our work with them.”
