Eversheds comment: London tower rents to continue scaling Babelesque heights

  • United Kingdom

    16-10-2015

Commenting on news that London's high rises have the highest rental growth in the world, Bruce Dear, head of London real estate at law firm Eversheds, says:

“Skyscrapers are like sky-signatures signalling a city’s global status. They are also magnets for major headquarters - companies love to loom over their competitors. In London, there are two rental markets: low rise and high rise. With grade A space in short supply and London’s tax and regulatory regime still favourable; we expect London tower rents to continue scaling 'Babelesque' heights.”
