    Eversheds is delighted to announce that their UK Pensions team has recently been announced as winners of the "Lawyers of the Year" category in the UK Pensions Awards 2013.

    The UK Pensions Awards recognise continuous and ongoing improvement. The overall aim of the awards remains the same: to recognise providers that offer the highest level of innovation, performance and service to occupational pension schemes and their members - and have done the most to improve this level of performance and service over the past year (the 12 months to October 31, 2012).

    The UK Pensions team showed how in line it is with the Eversheds vision "the global law firm that sets the standards" by scooping the title of Pension Lawyers of the Year at the prestigious Pensions awards held in London. Other firms shortlisted for the award were Linklaters, Cameron McKenna, Norton Rose, Sackers, Squire Sanders and Wragges.

    Francois Barker, Head of Pensions, Human Resources Group, said;

    “This is a real testament to the way our excellent team really is setting the standards in so many ways: the quality, resource and breadth of our people, clients and work were all factors we highlighted heavily in our award submission. Congratulations are due to every member of the team for the part they played in achieving such a great result.”

    Martin Warren, HR practice group head, said:

    “This is a great result for our team, recognising the expertise and profile of our pensions practice. A key part of our strategy is about having a relentless drive on quality, and this award underlines the strength and depth of talent we have at Eversheds in this respect. Congratulations to all.”
