In 1999, our four founding partners created Sándor Szegedi Szent-Ivány Komáromi Eversheds Sutherland through a demerger of a large Hungarian law firm with a long-standing international practice. Our firm provides comprehensive legal advice on a wide spectrum of commercial activities. Our partners are experienced business lawyers with expertise in numerous sectors.
Besides Hungarian clients, our firm advises a wide range of clients from around the world. We cater not just to multinationals and medium-sized companies, but also small businesses across Europe and North America.
Our policy is to provide a highly competent and effective service for our international and domestic clients at competitive rates. Services are tailored to suit the needs of the individual client, combining an understanding of law and broader commercial awareness to achieve clients' objectives whilst safeguarding their interests.
Our firm is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary, the Joint Venture Association and the Hungarian Competition Law Association.
Currently our office comprises eight partners, eight associates and counsels, and a competent administrative and support staff. Our law firm and attorneys are ranked and recommended in The Legal 500, Chambers Europe, IFFLR1000 and other professional publications in the fields of business law, including commercial and corporate law, M & A, employment and labour law, dispute resolution, financing, and real estate.
We are aware that we can best meet our Hungarian and foreign clients’ expectation, if can provide legal services not only in the Hungarian jurisdiction. For this reason, our firm became a member of Eversheds International in June 2004, which with its combination under the brand of Eversheds Sutherland with the American Sutherland Asbill &Brennan Law Office widened the Eversheds Sutherland global network in February 2017.
