Lithuania hosts the international Bar Leaders’ Conference

Lithuania welcomed the prominent leaders of the International Bar Association at the 15^th Annual Bar Leaders’ Conference.

Jonas Saladžius, the Managing Partner at Eversheds Saladžius had the honour to join a session about Modern Challenges to the Rule of Law, chaired by Christina Blacklaws, Officer at IBA Bar Issues Commission, and prof. Ignas Vėgėlė, President of the Lithuanian Bar Association.

In his presentation, Jonas Saladžius revealed that innovation and technology have the power to enhance access to justice, increase transparency and accountability, eliminate discrimination, and help build a better future for all. Jonas suggested some insights on fundamental issues related to use of tech and access to justice such as the key benefits of the use of tech to uphold rule of law, the barriers for deploying technology, and the solutions available to overcome those barriers.  

He also participated at the discussion about the impact of recent developments such as pandemics, migration, and other political and social challenges with distinguished panellists:
