Swedish pensions team

The Swedish pensions team have advised both domestic and multinational companies on a significant number of pension matters, and have a great deal of experience of complex and legally novel pension issues. Our pensions team have particular expertise in pension implications related to mergers and acquisitions and in pension law disputes.

Our recent experience includes:

  • advising on the pensions aspects where a company had not fulfilled its pensions commitments under both a defined benefit pension plan and a defined contribution pension plan
  • representing a major Swedish pension broker in an arbitration pension law proceeding regarding the entitlement to opt-out of the collectively agreed and predominant pension plan on the Swedish labour market
  • advising on implementation and changes to pension benefits
