Aigars is an attorney at law, a certified insolvency administrator, and the Head of Assets Management, Restructuring and Insolvency practice group. He has gained 20 years experience in the financial and banking area where he among other was involved in restructuring complex non-performing liabilities and in general dealing with stressed assets.

 

Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland Bitāns around two years ago Aigars has been involved in managing insolvency and liquidation proceedings of a credit institution where he was solving various challenging matters both on the domestic and international scale.

 

Furthermore, Aigars has gained significant legal work experience while being engaged in rendering legal work to a number of credit institutions and law offices.  Given his considerable experience Aigars is valued for being able to view and assess challenging legal situations from various angles thus leading to profound and long-lasting legal solutions.

 

Furthermore, considering that Aigars is also practising as a certified insolvency administrator and doing so is frequently involved in the management of insolvent companies, has gained respective education in book-keeping and has developed profound knowledge and practical skills in matters associated with book-keeping and daily operation of companies at management level.

Aigars is a member of INSOL Europe, the European association of professionals who specialize in insolvency, bankruptcy and business reconstruction and recovery.
