As Head of Knowledge for Eversheds Sutherland International, Alison has responsibility for ensuring that our people have access to the best information and tools to deliver excellent results for our clients across our international practice.
Alison leads the Knowledge Team which encompasses library and information services, research, and the knowledge content and systems team which manages Insite and our current awareness tools. In addition, she co-ordinates the firm’s strategy around our client facing knowledge offering and has overall responsibility for Empower, the firm’s global training programme for junior lawyers.
Having qualified as a transactional banking lawyer at Wilde Sapte (now Dentons), Alison practised in the fields of banking and international project finance including three years in the Singapore office of Clifford Chance. She moved into a professional support lawyer role having developed a passion for excellence and continuous improvement. Key achievements included developing the first automated template for the banking team, guiding the adoption of an electronic mortgage registration process ahead of the rest of the legal market, writing and delivering the banking foundations training for the nascent CCPG Diploma and helping co-ordinate the firm’s early adoption of electronic signatures.
With a strong track record in knowledge management, Alison works closely with our Service Excellence, Learning & Development and PSL teams and contributes to a range of key strategic projects and initiatives to deliver excellent client service and foster a culture of knowledge sharing across the business.
