Practice notes

Mark is a partner in our Employment Group and heads up our Nottingham office. Mark deals with a broad range of contentious and non-contentious work and specialises in restructuring and TUPE work, executive severances and handling high profile employment related litigation. Mark has a particular expertise in the area of TUPE and is very experienced in advising in relation to the employment aspects of outsourcing projects as well as corporate and commercial transactions.

Mark is named in both the Legal 500 and as a leader in his field in the Chambers Directory in which he is lauded for "his highly commercial, focused and approachable manner" and for being "very down-to-earth and personable". Mark has been named as an "Eminent Practitioner" by Chambers for the past three years, the highest ranking that can be awarded. Mark was nominated for "Employment Lawyer of the Year" in 2012 by both The Lawyer and Legal Business magazine. Mark has considerable experience of employment tribunal litigation and his contentious workload includes unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and executive terminations.

Mark qualified in 1994 and has been an employment litigator all his career. In addition to his contentious practice, Mark also gives advice in relation to non-contentious matters such as the implications of the TUPE regulations in many different change situations, issues relating to proposals to change terms and conditions of employment and large scale redundancy exercises.
