Diane is the Global Head of the Eversheds Sutherland Employment, Labor and Pensions Practice, leading the group of over 250 Employment, Labor and Pensions Lawyers, and Global Co-Head of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG). Diane is also a member of the firm's Senior Management Team and International Steering Group.

Diane qualified as a lawyer in September 1994 and joined the firm in 1999. She is a highly regarded employment law specialist with over 27 years' experience of handling high profile cases and providing strategic employment advice on a national and international basis. Diane conducts a full range of contentious and non-contentious work. She has conducted complex and high-profile employment tribunal claims and employment litigation, many around issues of equality and discrimination. Diane also advises on organisational issues (including large scale redundancy and restructuring programmes, industrial relations issues, mergers and collaborations, equality and diversity strategies); international collaborations and cross border issues and has recently supported clients on their strategic responses to COVID. She is also a recognised speaker and trainer on equality issues and has particular expertise in human rights and labor standards, health and safety, organization and culture change.

Diane is listed as a key individual in Chambers & Partners where clients comment that "she is extremely knowledgeable and very responsive - her advice is succinct and timely" and "she knows her stuff and has a very quick mind".

In 2018 Diane was asked to lead the international gender network for our people and in 2019 she was appointed Diversity and Inclusion Partner Sponsor with responsibility for leading and accelerating the firm’s diversity and inclusion strategy.

In 2021 Diane was appointed Global Co-Head of ESG and works together with Eversheds Sutherland ESG lawyers globally around climate change and related social issues for businesses, helping to ensure clients are up to date with regulatory requirements and advising on effective governance arrangements.
