Practice notes

Greg is a senior associate in our Competition, EU and Trade group.

He advises on a wide range of EU and UK competition law issues including behavioural competition issues, compliance, distribution and routes to market; merger control issues under domestic and EU competition law regimes; and the application of competition law to commercial agreements and trading practices.

Greg has advised on competition investigations undertaken by the European Commission, Competition and Markets Authority, Financial Conduct Authority and the Payment Systems Regulator. Greg also has experience of advising on CMA Phase 1 and Phase 2 merger reviews, including on prospects of appeal against CMA decisions and the implementation of divestment remedies; as well as in relation to the award of a rail franchise to prospective bidders.

Greg is a member of our Digital FS and Fintech group and has particular experience in financial services, having advised on FCA market studies and CMA market investigations in the sector, and in relation to the implementation of the CMA’s Open Banking remedies.

Greg spent time working in our Hong Kong office to support the growth of the international group following the implementation of the Competition Ordinance in Hong Kong in December 2015.

Winners of the Global Competition Review award for behavioural matter of the year (Europe). This was for the creative, strategic and innovative work carried out in a non-merger matter before an enforcer in Europe.
