Nicola Hösl is an Associate in the Employment and Labour Law practice group in Eversheds Sutherland's Munich office

Nicola advises national and international clients on all questions of employment and labour law.

Her permanent clients include major international corporations, listed and medium-sized companies as well as banks and insurance companies which she advises on all questions concerning labour law, in particular, as regards works constitution issues. Nicola has in particular advised with regard to complex restructurings and reorganisations as well as intricate dismissal-related disputes.

Nicola specialises in matters surrounding employment and labour law 4.0 advice as well as cross-border issues in the context of immigration/global mobility.

Furthermore, Nicola is the author of numerous articles on the latest changes of labour law case law. Her articles are in particular published in the journals DER BETRIEB, Gesellschafts- und Wirtschaftsrecht as well as Arbeit und Arbeitsrecht.

Nicola is a member of the Munich Bar Association (Rechtsanwaltskammer München).

She studied law at the University of Passau and at the University of Cape Town (LL.M.). Nicola completed her legal traineeship in Potsdam, Germany, and in Colombo, Sri Lanka. During her law firm stage, she worked for a major law firm in Munich. Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Nicola worked for a renowned law firm in Munich

Nicola's recent experience includes:

  • ongoing advice in and out of court of a global leading shipping company with regard to all employment and labour law questions
  • advising a leading construction company in Europe from the construction industry on the implementation of agile working
  • comprehensive advice on employment and labour law questions of US- and UK-based companies regarding the acquisition/sale of German companies with respect to the effects on employees
  • broad experience in the implementation of transactions in respect of labour and employment law, including due diligence processes and negotiation of purchase agreements
