Dr. Alexander Honrath is a Partner at Eversheds Sutherland in Munich. He is head of the Capital Markets practice group in Germany and the China Desk in Europe.

He advised both banks and businesses on more than 40 capital market transactions in Germany, China and Hong Kong regarding IPOs, capital increases and the acquisition of companies listed on the stock exchange. He also regularly advises on the procurement of debt capital and mezzanine financing.

In the area of debt financing, Alexander has furthermore developed and negotiated various financial products for international companies. Among his clients are national and international banks and listed companies, in particular from China.

Alexander has many years of experience in the banking business: In the past, he was head of operational investment banking as a Senior Vice President at HypoVereinsbank AG where he headed the technology team of the capital market division. In his previous position, he worked as a Director for WestLB Panmure.

The China Desk, which Alexander Honrath is the head of, advises both state and private companies from Asia when they enter the European market as well as German companies on their expansion to Asia.

Alexander is regularly recommended for capital market law, financing and corporate law inter alia by JUVE Handbuch and Handelsblatt/Best Lawyers.
