Practice notes

Chris is a principal associate in our Insurance & Reinsurance team. He is recommended in the directories and has experience of handling a broad range of insurance related disputes.

He has vast experience of advising insurers, insurance intermediaries and policyholders in relation to high value and complex insurance coverage disputes in relation to a variety of types of risk including professional liability, public/product liability, technology, life/critical illness, latent defect, commercial combined, D&O and warranty and indemnity policies.

Chris has particular expertise in dealing with claims for and against solicitors, insurance brokers, IT and construction professionals, and has also acted for directors in relation to disqualification proceedings and investigations by regulators such as the HSE, the Environment Agency and the OFT.

On the non-contentious side, Chris has experience of advising clients and drafting and negotiating policy wordings in relation to many different insurance markets. He has advised clients on a cross sector basis on a range of regulatory issues such as the requirement for FCA authorisation, passporting rights, Solvency II and the provision of insurance products.
