Practice notes

Marieke started her career as an employment lawyer in 2004. She joined Eversheds Sutherland Employment and labour Law practice group in Rotterdam in 2012 as a senior associate.

Marieke advises national and international clients on a wide variety of employment law such as collective and individual dismissals, sick employees, the employment law-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions, transfer of undertakings, outsourcing, collective labour agreement (CLA) law, managing directors and works council related issues. She also has litigation experience. If necessary, she works closely with advisors in other disciplines.

Marieke is a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA), the Netherlands Employment Lawyers Association (VAAN) and the Rotterdam Employment Lawyers Association (VRAA).

Marieke begon haar carrière als arbeidsrecht advocaat in 2004. Marieke is sinds 2012 als senior medewerker werkzaam bij de Praktijkgroep Arbeids- en Medezeggenschapsrecht van Eversheds Sutherland in Rotterdam.

Marieke adviseert nationale en internationale cliënten over een breed scala van arbeidsrechtelijke onderwerpen zoals collectief en individueel ontslag, zieke werknemers, de arbeidsrechtelijke aspecten van fusies en overnames, overgang van onderneming, outsourcing en CAO-recht. Marieke heeft ook proceservaring. Daarnaast adviseert zij in kwesties met betrekking tot statutair directeuren en ondernemingsraden. Waar nodig werkt zij nauw samen met adviseurs uit andere disciplines.

Marieke is lid van de Europese Vereniging Arbeidsrecht Advocaten (EELA), de Vereniging Arbeidsrecht Advocaten Nederland (VAAN) en de Vereniging Rotterdamse Arbeidsrechtadvocaten (VRAA).
