Practice notes

Paul Michel is a member of the Eversheds Sutherland Employment team. Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, he acquired experience in an international commercial law firm with offices in Geneva and Paris. His practice area also includes insolvency and recovery. He regularly advises on cross border M&A transactions and related agreements (asset deals, share purchase agreements, refinancing transactions, shareholder agreements) and assists relating to the incorporation of Swiss subsidiaries and special purpose entities. He teaches labour and employment law, and immigration law at the Fédération des entreprises romandes (FER).

Paul has worked as a law clerk for the Labour Tribunal of Geneva (Tribunal des prud’hommes), in the Complex dispute department. During his studies, he also worked at the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the United Nations Office and to the other international organisations in Geneva.

Paul graduated in 2015 and holds a bilingual Master of Law degree from the University of Geneva and Basel. He was admitted to the Bar in Switzerland in 2017. He holds a Certificate of Specialization in Law and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations (University of Geneva).

Paul is a member of the Ordre des Avocats (OdA) in Geneva and of the Fédération Suisse des Avocats (FSA).
