Practice notes

Constanze Moorhouse qualified as a lawyer in Germany in June 1997 and as an English solicitor in July 1999. She is a partner in our Human Resources practice group and leads our International Employment Counsel Team.

Constanze regularly works in a cross-border environment advising UK and US clients on German law and German clients on English law in all matters relating to employment, including litigation and the employment aspects of corporate transactions. She regularly acts as project manager for multi-jurisdictional HR projects. Through a secondment to a large US owned multi-national firm she has gained in-house experience in a European role.

Recent key international projects include:

  • advising a major online leisure business on restructuring its business across Europe;
  • advising a global service provider on the creation of shared service centres in Europe;
  • advising a government department on outsourcing security services in over 25 European countries;
  • advising, as part of a secondment, on contingent workers issues across Europe.

In addition Constanze advises some of Eversheds' large clients, including health sector clients, on their domestic UK employment issues.

Constanze is a native German speaker, is fluent in English and Italian, and also speaks French. She spent one month working in the Eversheds Milan office where she participated as a speaker in a number of seminars and conferences.

Constanze is the author of the German chapter of the book "EU & International Employment Law", co-author and editor of the Bloomsbury Professional book "Employment Law in Europe", and has contributed to the books "Doing Business with Germany" and "Employment Law in the NHS". She regularly speaks at seminars and delivers client training, on German, English and international employment law topics.
