Practice notes

Chris is an Associate in the Planning and Infrastructure Consenting Team and is involved in a variety of planning work including strategic planning, CPO, highways, planning agreements, and due diligence. Chris acts for a wide range of clients in both the private and public sector. His recent experience includes:

  • Advising on substantial CPO compensation claims relating to the land acquisition needed for the London 2012 Olympics, HS2, the Hinckley Point C Nuclear Power Station, and Crossrail
  • Advising on all planning and compulsory purchase aspects in relation to three CPOs for the £4bn redevelopment of the Brent Cross shopping centre and the comprehensive regeneration of Cricklewood to provide 7,500 homes and a new Thameslink station
  • Advising on all aspects of planning, including negotiating infrastructure agreements, relating to the £850m Salford Central regeneration scheme in Manchester
  • Advising in relation to all planning and compulsory purchase aspects of the redevelopment of One the Axis in Birmingham to deliver a 1 million sq ft office-led mixed used scheme
  • Advising on the promotion of Greater Manchester’s only garden village scheme comprising over 2,000 homes
  • Advising housing clients on general planning matters and section 106 agreements at several housing led schemes across the country
