Practice notes

Tejas is a Senior Associate in our Litigation group. She specialises in international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration and public international law.

She has experience in the construction, telecommunications, and oil and gas sectors. In addition to acting as counsel, she has also assisted sole arbitrators and arbitral tribunals in commercial arbitration proceedings.

Her recent experience includes representing a French telecommunications company in ICSID arbitration proceedings against a Middle Eastern State, in a dispute relating to a telecom licence renewal; advising a West African petroleum company in an ICC arbitration claim regarding a joint venture agreement for the exploration of an oil field in West Africa; and advising a European petroleum company in relation to a joint operating agreement for the exploration and exploitation of petroleum in West Africa.

Tejas holds a Master’s degree in International Economic Law from Sciences Po, Paris, and a Bachelor’s in Law (LLB) degree from the University of Pune, India.

She is admitted to practice law in France and in India. Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, she practiced at a boutique arbitration law firm in Paris.
