Simon Weppner is a Partner in the Tax practice group at Eversheds Sutherland and head of the Tax practice group in Germany.

Simon advises enterprises, banks, family offices and PE-/VC investors on M&A transactions regarding all national and international tax aspects. Furthermore, Simon Weppner advises regulated investors on direct and indirect investments on all regulatory and investment tax related matters.

In total, Simon has more than 10 years of experience in advising national and foreign investors.

Simon wrote various articles on tax law and regularly holds lectures about taxation.

He is a member of the economic council (Wirtschaftsrat der CDU e.V.) and the forum transactions in tax law (Forum Transaktionen im Steuerrecht). Before joining Eversheds Sutherland Simon was a Partner at Taylor Wessing.

His recent experience includes:

  • advising a leading consumer goods company with regard to several national and international company acquisitions
  • advising VC and PE investors regarding the acquisition of interests on a regular basis
