Paul is the Co-Head of Global Litigation at Eversheds Sutherland and a member of the firm's International Leadership Team. He leads a team of 205 partners and over 500 other attorneys, recognised by The Lawyer as the world’s 8th largest disputes practice. His team handles complex litigation and arbitration across the US, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Paul joined the firm in 2002 and has over 25 years' experience of complex litigation, investigations and regulatory/compliance work, particularly for financial services clients. Paul has recently advised clients on cases involving interest rate hedging products, anti-money laundering and general fraud issues. His global team deals with all types of litigation, arbitration, class actions, investigations and white collar work for clients in sectors including energy, financial services, real estate, construction & engineering, TMT and transport.
Paul has been recognised as a leading expert by the legal directories for many years, with clients recognising him as "a no nonsense lawyer" with "real commercial nous". He has also published a number of articles on the increasing use of technology in litigation.
