Darragh advises both lenders and borrowers on a full range of secured and unsecured finance transactions including bilateral and syndicated loans, security, intercreditor and hedging packages. He is also experienced in drafting and negotiating loan sales transaction documentation for major financial institutions. Darragh previously worked in the Banking & Financial Services department of a top five law firm in Dublin and previously qualified as a chartered accountant, having trained with KPMG in Dublin.

His recent experience includes:

  • Advising Bank of Scotland in connection with preparation and negotiation of assignment of loan and security portfolio, property sale and overall settlement agreement.
  • Advising Everyday Debt Recovery Limited in connection with the acquisition of loan books from the receiver to Cash Flow Services Limited and GE.
  • Advising a major international bank in connection with preparation and negotiation of assignment of loan and security portfolio.
  • Advising NAMA on review of loan and security documents in relation to various connections, and report for NAMA in relation to same.
  • Advising Bank of Scotland in connection with multiple security reviews across several jurisdictions. The scope of work included negotiating new facilities, security remediation and pre and post receivership advice.
  • Advising a trading group in connection with €70,000,000 banking refinancing and restructuring of group. The scope of work included negotiating new facilities, security and ISDA documentation.
  • Advising Jaguar Capital Limited in connection with multi jurisdiction refinancing.

Darragh is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
