Cian has extensive and practical experience in all areas of commercial real estate law and commercial leasing and has a particular expertise in both planning and environmental law. Cian acts for some of the largest and most prestigious international and indigenous investors and developers on:
- the acquisition, disposal and management of Irish property, including site assembly;
- the development and financing of property assets;
- the negotiation of complex real estate transactions and commercial lease deals for landlords and tenants alike;
- forward-sales and forward-funding in the private rented sector (PRS) / Build to Rent (BTR) and social housing;
- the re-structuring of property assets; and
- title reviews, planning law and environmental law.
Cian's recent experience includes:
- Lead legal advisor for a German fund, with LuxCo structure, on several office investment acquisitions in Dublin for circa €100m.
- Advising an Irish/US joint venture on the largest office pre-let ever in Ireland, being the AFL and €1bn Lease to Salesforce.
- Advising an Irish REIT on the acquisition of several multi-let office blocks in Dublin for circa €90m, and ongoing estate management.
- Advising an Irish property developer on site acquisitions and site assembly, pre-lets and ultimate sale of investment assets once constructed.
- Advising daa (Dublin Airport Authority) on the acquisition of 6 hangars at Dublin Airport and ongoing advice on occupational deals with hangar operators and airlines.
- Lead advisor to an Irish investment firm on several site acquisitions (totalling over €200m), development related issues and setting up disposal structures.
- Advising a US fund on the forward-sale of 250 residential units in Dublin.
- Advising a UK fund on the forward-funding of 300 residential units in Dublin.
- Advising a Singaporean/Dutch joint venture on the forward-purchase of over 500 residential units in Ireland.
- Advising a Korean fund on the acquisition of an office investment in Dublin.
