Anete is leading Eversheds Sutherland Bitāns Tax practice group. She specializes mainly in the field of tax law and provides tax advice on Latvian and international taxation to clients in various industries.

Her main areas of expertise are application of direct taxes and taxation in case of cross-border employment. Anete is also consulting clients with respect to tax application on transactions with real estate and other capital assets.

Anete's professional experience includes representation of clients at all stages of administrative proceedings, mainly in resolving disputes with the State Revenue Service.

Anete's competence also includes tax and regulatory aspects in import and export transactions of goods in accordance with the requirements of regulatory enactments in matters related to customs, as well as in transactions with excisable goods.

Anete's activities in the Tax practice group take place in close cooperation with the Commercial practice group, engaging in various commercial transactions related to the change of members' structures, reorganization, restructuring and investment attraction. Anete also supports Capital markets team.

In addition, she has gained extensive experience in migration issues, providing assistance to foreigners in the process of obtaining residence permits and visas, specializing in issues related to the employment of foreigners.
