Practice notes

Pamela is a Partner in and Head of our Dispute Resolution & Litigation Department.  Pamela is also a member of the Public and Administrative Law Department. She has experience in the conduct of inquiries, private and public, statutory and non statutory.

She has a particular focus on advising professionals, financial service providers and regulatory bodies in relation to dispute management, investigations and claims. She acts for many large corporate clients and public bodies, including the State. Pamela has extensive experience and specialism in financial services, regulatory disputes and commercial litigation.

She has represented various parties before the major Statutory Tribunals of Inquiry as well as representing a number of clients before the recent Committee of Inquiry into the Banking Crisis. Pamela’s team is also instructed by the Central Bank of Ireland. She is the lead partner acting for a statutory agency advising on their quasi-judicial functions, enforcement, and legislative interpretation and amendments. She has specific case management / project management experience in managing large volume litigation requiring strategic and team management skills as well as document management experience of both civil and criminal proceedings in all Court jurisdictions.

Pamela acts for various financial institutions in complex commercial disputes including mis-selling claims, including their obligations under the Consumer Protection Code. She has also represented clients, in relation to negligence claims involving professionals such as insurance brokers, accountants, solicitors and investment advisors.

Pamela plays a key role in the Women’s Initiative in the Firm as well as being one of the firms Diversity and Inclusion Champions.

Pamela is Prince2 qualified.

Pamela is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association.
