Practice notes

Roberta, a Legal Director in the Abu Dhabi office, is a disputes specialist with a focus on the construction industry. She has spent the last eight years of her career in Abu Dhabi, representing developers, contractors, and consultants in arbitrations (DIAC, ICC, and ADCCAC) and local court matters across a wide variety of projects—from roads & utilities to leisure/sporting facilities to processing plants in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During project execution, Roberta works closely with client teams, often on site, providing guidance on strategic contract correspondence and dispute mitigation/avoidance. Roberta is a frequent speaker at construction community events in the UAE.

Roberta’s broader practice includes commercial disputes, as well as providing regulatory advice on environmental matters.

Roberta has a strong interest in humanitarian legal assistance and is working with Eversheds Sutherland to develop its pro bono programme to serve the UAE and the region.
